#MusicMarketingSauce — Build relationships. Don’t build links.

The first thing most artists do after they make a song is start going link-posting crazy. And most of the time that good music they worked so hard to create gets ignored.
Then after a week the artist will create a new song and start the same process of link craziness all over again.
What’s wrong with this picture?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
The reason your songs are getting ignored is because people don’t care about your music because they don’t know who you are!
🔑You have to make people FAMILIAR with you and your presence with content FIRST. Whether it’s on Facebook, IG, TikTok or the damn Trap house down the street.
What do I mean by content?
Well look at what I’m doing right now. I’m posting something that I know most artists would be interested in. I’m not posting links to my services and talking about myself all day long. I’m giving my audience what THEY are interested in seeing.
So who is your audience? What kind of content triggers them? Find out what they like to see and start posting that content. After you have done this for a while and have built up a decent following, THEN and only THEN you can start to guide them towards your music.
It takes more than a link to get to the brink.
